I am happy to say that at the end of November, I had my 5th MRI since treatment. The doctor revealed there is no sign of any brain cancer! I have so many things to celebrate this time of year, and a clear MRI is a wonderful gift heading into the new year.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy new year. As I reflect on 2017, I am humbled when I think about this time one year ago when I could not walk on my own due to nerve damage from the chemo. The doctors said it was one of the worst cases of neuropathy they had seen. Over the course of 2017, the nerves gradually healed and I am very grateful to be walking into the new year with complete restoration in my hands and feet!
With new progress and a new year, comes new goals which includes putting on some weight and muscle, that will hopefully improve my energy. After chemo, I dwindled down to 78 pounds since I could not keep food down for months. The nausea has improved as of late, and the good days seem to outnumber the bad ones, which I couldn’t say a short while ago.
Thank you to those who continue to encourage me along the way on this journey. I am so very grateful for the love and support that I have received, it never goes unnoticed. Wishing you all the best in 2018!
